The surface finish is the product: raceways and seal seats are ground and super-finished to Ra 0.2–0.4, then gauge-checked — because torque consistency and seal life both live in that micron band. Threaded studs and ABS ring seats are machined in-cycle to keep runout inside spec.
Corrosion is the other warranty killer: 440C/304 stainless options for winter-road environments, or plating (Zn-Ni, Dacromet) with thickness and salt-spray reports per batch. Every sampled lot runs a rotation/noise check before packing.
