  • Black Hard Anodized Finish: A matte black anodize protects the aluminum against corrosion and fingerprints, and gives industrial equipment a clean, professional look.
  • Dense Fin Geometry: Closely spaced fins maximize surface area per square centimeter for natural and forced-air cooling of power transistors, rectifiers and driver boards.
  • Flat Device Base: The milled base seats tightly against TO-220, TO-247 and IGBT packages with thermal grease, keeping junction temperature low.
  • Drilled Mounting Holes: Mounting holes and notched side tabs are CNC-machined to bolt the sink to a PCB, chassis or heat sink bracket without extra hardware.

What Is This Service

Black anodized aluminum heat sinks are the standard cooling solution for power supplies, audio amplifiers, motor drivers and PCB-mounted power electronics. Extruded from 6063 aluminum with dense, closely spaced fins, each sink is CNC-cut to length, drilled with mounting holes and finished in a matte black anodize that resists corrosion and wear.

The flat milled base seats tightly against TO-220, TO-247 and IGBT packages with thermal grease, while the notched side tabs and drilled holes bolt the sink directly to a PCB, chassis or standoff bracket - no extra brackets. The black finish also hides fingerprints and machining marks, which matters for amplifiers, industrial controls and exposed-equipment cooling.

We supply standard black-anodized profiles cut to your size, or custom-extrude non-standard fin geometries for higher power dissipation. Every sink is dimensionally inspected and can be supplied with clear, black or other color anodizing, from prototype samples to 50,000+ pieces per month, under NDA.

Black Anodized Heat Sink Capabilities

Dense Fin Extrusion

Closely spaced fins maximize cooling surface area per unit volume for natural-convection and forced-air power electronics.

Flat Device Base

Milled base surface seats evenly against TO-220/TO-247/IGBT packages, minimizing thermal resistance between die and sink.

Uniform Black Anodize

Controlled black hard anodize protects against corrosion and gives a consistent, premium finish on exposed equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose a black anodized heat sink?
Black anodize improves surface emissivity slightly, protects the aluminum from corrosion and oxidation, and gives a clean matte finish - ideal for amplifiers, power supplies and exposed industrial equipment.
Can you drill holes to my PCB mounting pattern?
Yes - clearance holes, tapped holes and notched side tabs are CNC-machined to your PCB or chassis layout, so the sink bolts directly into place.
What packages can these sinks cool?
They are widely used for TO-220, TO-247, TO-263 transistors, MOSFETs, rectifiers, IGBTs and driver ICs in power supplies, amplifiers and motor drives.
Do you supply custom sizes?
Yes. Standard profiles are cut to length quickly; for non-standard fin geometry or high volumes we open custom extrusion tooling and CNC finish to your drawing.
