A HIFI product is only as good as its chassis. A solid CNC-machined aluminum chassis does three things an enclosure made from folded sheet cannot: it grounds the DAC and amplifier electronics, it damps vibration and microphonics that color the sound, and it gives your product the machined, premium finish that audiophiles expect. We mill these chassis from solid 6061-T6 billet on 5-axis centers.
Every cut is driven by your drawing: front-panel openings for volume and selectors knobs, 6.35 mm and 4-pin XLR headphone jacks, display windows, USB slots, ventilation grilles, and internal pockets for PCB, transformer and power-supply mounting. Tapped holes are threaded directly into the billet (or with steel inserts where load requires), and the separate cover plate bolts to the body with flush countersunk screws.
After machining, the chassis is anodized in your brand color - purple, black, silver or a custom match - with laser-etched or screen-printed legends on request. Tolerance holds at +/-0.01 mm and surface roughness at Ra0.8, so front-panel gaps are uniform and knobs spin without play. Samples ship in 8-15 days; production runs scale under NDA for brands of any size.
Milled from one piece of 6061 aluminum instead of folded sheet, so walls are stiff, seams are tight and the chassis damps vibration instead of ringing.
Knob shafts, jack cutouts, display windows and vents are CNC-milled exactly to your front-panel PCB, with chamfered, burr-free edges.
